Hack Education 101

Welcome

Did you learn anything?

Don't be discouraged

I've done the same thing

If you've noticed on a lot of websites, there is a lot of people who get hacked.

They click on stuff they don't know where it goes, or what it does. Once you're in a fake  sign in page, you're in a trap.

I'm not the brightest computer dude, but if any of this can help you then have at it. If you get a hackers name turn them in. Don't think of it as snitching; that's stupid. The thief is trying to steal your life savings.  Here's the FBI's link HERE or if you want to go directly to the cyber crime reporting page CLICK HERE

I've made this page for people who have been hacked by clicking on stuff without checking the properties of the link or just plain accidentally stepped into the HACK TRAP.

So, I've made this page with examples of what I've seen hackers throw out there

It's not entirely your fault. These dweebs are smart. This is only what I've learned from the web. I'm not a professional. I'm just trying to help.

If you've been HACKED or suspect you have..... Change your passwords. Write them down.

By clicking on a hackers trap you get thrown into a fake  sign in page where you type in your username and password and BAM, they got your information.

Hackers hope you're using the same password as your email. Don't do that. If you do then they can email everyone and hack them too. Go into your accounts by saying you lost your password and user names. Drain your account and go to your other friends.

I've seen on the news where crooks have rooms full of hackers working all day to get your money.

Below are examples of stuff Hackers used to use on MySpace. MySpace has since implemented lots of safegaurds. I haven't seen any of these in a while, but I'll keep these screenshots on here as examples. They also use these on other social networks.

For MySpace I  advise people to change their privacy settings to approve all comments first so those spam ones don't get through, because I found once their on there they are hard to get rid of, unless you delete them in safe mode. (Which most people are unaware of) That is done in account settings.
The other two ways hackers can hide in your site is in your friends list or pictures.
If you go to edit friends then look through each page for grey boxes with a red X, these are hackers. These must be deleted.
The other way to find them is go to edit pictures in safe mode then have a look if there seem to be more pics than you put on. or indeed pics of people or images you've never seen before. If that happens the only way to get rid of them is delete all your pictures, sadly even your own, so there are no pics then you upload your own all over again.
Another sad thing is people are getting their accounts deleted because they been hacked and are unwittingly sending spam.
Another idea. Have a backup site.

Trojan: Description
Any program with a hidden intent. Trojans are one of the leading causes of breaking into machines. If you pull down a program from a chat room, new group, or even from unsolicited e-mail, then the program is likely trojaned with some subversive purpose. The word Trojan can be used as a verb: To trojan a program is to add subversive functionality to an existing program. For example, a trojaned login program might be programmed to accept a certain password for any users account that the hacker can use to log back into the system at any time. Rootkits often contain a suite of such trojaned programs.
